Touching the Sun

Touching the Sun is inspired by my west coast vacations where we sit for hours waiting for that splendid sunset. I envisioned this, while watching the waves rising high touching the leftover orange sky.  

It is a mixed media artwork painted using mainly acrylic paints and acrylic medium mixed with some silicone to provide varying textures. It is painted on a 24x36 inch gallery wrapped canvas with hanging hardware on the back. It is 1.5 inches deep.
